Make plans now to join your fellow NAIFA-Florida members for our annual Legislative Day on the Hill – January 22-23, 2024 – in Tallahassee. Lobbyist Tim Meenan is looking for a large turnout this year as many critical issues impacting our business will come before the Legislature. Group visits with legislators, talking points in hand, are vital to communicating our stands on these issues. The opening Orientation Session on Monday, followed by cocktails and dinner (included in registration fee) will prepare you for your legislative visits on Tuesday. Monday, January 22, 2024

  • 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. – Day on the Hill Orientation Meeting
    TCC Center for Innovation (downstairs), 300 W. Pensacola Street, Tallahassee, FL 32301

    Florida CFO Jimmy Patronis is scheduled to speak at the orientation session. As CFO, Patronis sits on the Governor’s cabinet and oversees the Department of Financial Services.

  • 5:30 p.m. – “Drinks with Tim” Happy Hour

  • All Day – Members meet with their Legislators at the Capitol

  • 5:45 p.m. – Cocktail Reception for Past NAIFA-Florida Presidents

    6:30 p.m. – Herb Morgan Dinner

    Reception (bar — credit cards only) opens at 5:45 PM. All invited!

    Dinner will be an additional charge and require preregistration. The cocktail hour will be a cash bar (credit cards only) onsite.

Refunds – A full refund less a $25.00 processing fee will be processed for requests received prior to January 5, 2024. No refunds will be issued after January 5, 2024.

Education Foundation Offers $100 Travel Stipend to All First-time Attendees to DOH

The NAIFA-Florida Education Foundation (NFEF) has announced that all first-time attendee-members of NAIFA-Florida will receive a $100 stipend for attending Legislative Day on the Hill. Craig Duncan, Chair of NFEF said that the Foundation wants to encourage attendance by first-time attendees due to the educational value of participating in the association’s advocacy process. The stipend will be on a reimbursement basis and be paid following the event. Also, first-timers are asked to submit a short 30 to 60-second video taken in Tallahassee of their impression of the DOH experience. The video and request for the stipend are to be submitted to Tom Ashley at tom.ashley@naifa-florida.org.

Hotel Information

We will have two host hotels to chose from which are located next to each other. The rate for both hotels will be $129 per night. This includes breakfast, wifi and parking.

Reservations cutoff date for both hotels is 12/26/23.
