Two local associations in Florida have won top IFAPAC awards for 2017: NAIFA-North Suncoast and NAIFA-Daytona Beach.
Winning the “Tribute to Excellence” Award, which is the highest-level award a local association can win, is NAIFA-North Suncoast. In order to win, a local association must increase both its number of contributors and the amount of contributions over the prior year with one of these categories increasing by at least 12% over the prior year. The local IFAPAC Chair must contribute $200 or more during the calendar year and certain local leaders must contribute at least $200 during the calendar year. The local association itself must contribute at least $3.00 per member (as of 6/30 membership numbers) towards the IFAPAC administrative fund during the calendar year.
The “Leadership Citation” Award goes to NAIFA-Daytona Beach. Requirements for this award: The local association must increase both its number of contributors and the amount of contributions over the prior year and the local IFAPAC Chair must contribute $100 or more during the calendar year. Leaders holding certain offices must contribute at least $100 during the calendar year the local association itself must contribute at least $1.00 per member (as of 6/30 membership numbers) towards the IFAPAC administrative fund during the calendar year.
In other recognition, NAIFA-Tampa was sixth in the nation in highest amount of money raised — $24,333.50. And NAIFA-North Suncoast was the third highest in “Small Local Participation” nationally at 77%.
“Both North Suncoast and Daytona Beach are to be congratulated on winning the awards, and for their tremendous effort in 2017. It’s amazing that Tampa placed sixth in the nation for their efforts and that North Suncoast was third in the nation at 77%,” said NAIFA-Florida PC Chair Jeff Chernoff.
