To assist local associations in their membership recruitment and retention efforts, NAIFA-Florida leaders have held three of four scheduled Membership Clinics around Florida in recent weeks.
Local membership chairs and their teams, local presidents, board members and anyone who has an interest in membership is invited to the clinics. The half-day meeting focuses on membership retention by calling current members and thanking them for their membership, calling referrals, and calling lapsed members. Multiple resources are provided to participants including phone scripts, member benefits, and local membership contact lists.
Conceived and led by NAIFA-Florida President Linda Moore, the clinics have attracted representatives from many local associations.
“Once we get into the nuts and bolts of membership retention and recruitment, the rapport and camaraderie of the participants in the room is amazing to watch,” said Moore. In addition to Moore, other state leaders leading parts of the clinics include President-Elect Shelita Stuart, Vice President Joe Chalom, and Membership Chair Cheryl Canzanella.
Thus far, clinics have been held in Jacksonville (March 1), Orlando (March 7), and Tampa (March 8). The final Membership Clinic will be held in Ft. Lauderdale on Thursday, March 29.
