Mark Tiralosi, past NAIFA-Florida President and Past NAIFA-Central Florida President, was awarded this year’s “Herb Morgan Memorial Award” at the NAIFA-Florida Legislative Day on the Hill breakfast, March 21st. David Russell, the 2016 winner, presented the award to Tiralosi.
The Morgan Award is presented to the NAIFA-Florida member who exemplifies leadership and support in the areas of advocacy, leadership development, and membership recruitment. Current members of the NAIFA-Florida Board of Directors are not eligible. The award is named after former legislator, and former NAIFA-Florida CEO and lobbyist Herb Morgan, who served the association from 1986 until his untimely death in 2003.
Tiralosi became active at the local level in 1994 when he joined the NAIFA-Central Florida Board of Directors and moved up the chairs to President in 1997. Following local service, he served NAIFA-Florida as Legislative Committee chair, Regional Vice President, and Treasurer. He then moved up the leadership chairs and served as NAIFA-Florida President in 2009-10. Mark served as National Committeeperson from 2012 to 2015. At the 2015 NAIFA-Florida Annual Conference, Mark was honored by with the C.G. Snead/J.F. Bryan, III “Advisor of the Year” Award – the association’s top award.
